Michael Reilly An eclectic and exciting mix of electronic beats, keyboards, piano, percussion and much, much more. Passages constantly surprise as they turn from one direction to another, adding further remarkable soundscapes. Favorite track: Vapours.

about

A short story that's equal parts anxious energy and and patient reflection, Words From The Woods explores an instrumental space inspired by 70s guitar trails, dark gospel swells, 8-bit textures and the vocabulary of early cinema. Galloping hip-hop beats and distorted synths are paired with gentle piano and glockenspiel phrases to form a summation of memories, a retelling of moments. The shimmer of light breaking through the trees on a still summer day, the melodic motion of insects in a quiet meadow, the persistent recollection of youth... Words from the Woods is the first in a series of works that explores the continuity and coherence of our lifelong influences.
